The Navy Inn

The Navy Inn, just off Penzance Promenade is a pub & restaurant with fine food at its heart. The Navy is an old pub with bare floorboards and a traditional bar, whilst also having relaxed yet stylish dining areas. With an informal and very friendly atmosphere where you can go in for just a beer, sit around with cups of coffee and read the papers, snack on single course or have a full 3 course meal.

The menu offers a delicious mix, with lots of local seasonal produce while at a price that represents really good value for money and less than a lot of other pub restaurants now charge.

All the dishes are presented beautifully but the taste of each dish we hope will make you return again & again.


New Management Since November 2014

The Navy Inn is now under new management. The aim to keep up the the highest standards of quality, with particular attention to customer service. We truly believe in using local seasonal produce & promoting the best & freshest foods. With Newlyn fish market a 10-minute stroll along the promenade fish is always at the forefront of our menu. We are very flexible and will accommodate all your dietary requirements with a little notice.

Cornwall has been at the heart of the food revolution, with small local farmers having fabulous organic products, from a diverse range of herbs, dairy, wines, ciders & beers through to the meat. We always feature local game, steaks and great lamb & pork, just look at our menus. We are lucky to be able to work with these and as you can see all are local from our list of suppliers.


Our Menu

We have a selection of wines by the glass and the bottle, good local real ales, lagers, bottled beverages and a full range of teas and coffees to enjoy inside or at the outside tables, by the roaring wood fire in the winter, with the daily papers, with friends or just in peace.

The idea behind the Navy pub is somewhere to come for a beer, or bottle of good wine, having great food without the ceremony and prices of a fine dining restaurant whilst still delivering the same quality of food. We are passionate about all we do.

The Chefs – Tom, Alex and their team produce everything from creating the recipes through to making each component within them i.e. the ice creams, the chocolate moulds, curing bacon, salting and smoking meat and fish, breads, pasta’s through to filleting and gutting the fish, prepping meat and vegetables. All is made in our kitchen using the finest & freshest ingredients we can purchase.
